Northern Child will arrive in St Lucia later today with EH01 and El Ocaso following close behind
Distance to go at 1630hrs utc 11/12/13: 189nm
Distance travelled so far: 2900nm
Lunch:  Chicken wraps served with a bean, garlic and salsa mix
Dinner:  Mashed sweet potatoes, butternut squash and Mahi Mahi
As we near our destination the rattle of lonely tins in empty lockers becomes louder.  3 toilet rolls left, no coffee on cappuccino, as the gas supply is restricted we drink cold coffee made with milk and cream chilled very refreshing indeed. The crew are now hiding from the sun as its power is just too much.  Our water maker is running flat out 20-30 litres per hour so we can all have a pre arrival shower cant go ashore from a swan stinky can you?
Crew comments:
– Jupiter above mars at the stern turn it to port martyn – will you never learn
– When ever possible take the big ones up the aft
–  Beautiful sail great crew great boat great skipper good value and lasting memories (i have a tear in my eye)
1515utc today saw us cross under the 200 mile mark to St Lucia. Looking forward to being greeted on the finishing line with their famous rum punch.
Skips note – For me another crossing nearly over Im not going to tempt fate just yet but a safe and happy trip with very few issues.  Incrediblke crew of such diversity, attitudes race and religions all mixed on 51 feet of boat sorry (yacht).  It truly has been a pleasure to sail with all these people on Northern Child.  Hopefully we will all get to do it again sometime bring along some friends or family its time for canapes again oh and rum with juice 🙂  Catch you in the morning heres to a safe last night off shore.
