Swan 51

NORTHERN CHILD is a beautifully presented Swan 51′ with a full inventory of North race sails.

Built in 1984 she is one of German Frers’ outstanding all-round designs.

Fitted with a lavish cruising interior, she has four comfortable cabins sleeping up to 12 crew.

Fast and easy to sail, Northern Child is a fine balance between a racing and cruising yacht.

Northern Child is available for skippered charter to individual or groups and participates in all the major regattas in the UK and Caribbean, she sails across the Atlantic twice a year and completes many offshore passages between the UK, Mediterranean and Caribbean.

Northern Child is Category Zero coded by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) which means she is able to sail commercially in unrestricted waters around the world. There are fewer yachts every year which maintain the standard that this coding requires. The code covers construction, stability, outfit standards, safety equipment and manning.

Northern Child is equipped with 3 life rafts, automatic and manual life jackets, harnesses, a comprehensive category A first aid kit,  EPIRB, SART, Jon Bouy, VHF, SSB radio and satellite phone.
